WELCOME!

We are so excited to have you as part of Truska Insurance Agency, Inc.  We take great pride in our agency, community, and clients.  As an independent agent, we offer choice, provide a high level of service, and are local.

Choice:  As an independent agent, we offer a choice of multiple insurance carriers, coverage, and premiums.  Our focus is on you and finding the insurance coverage that best suits your needs.  We know you have a choice when selecting a local independent agent.  We want to continue to earn your trust through our regular communications, personal relationships, and local involvement.

Provide a High Level of Service:  We are forward-thinking insurance brokers who understand that sustained success is built on solid relationships and a robust customer-centric approach.  This is achieved by emphatically listening and addressing an issue than solving it promptly.

We are Local:  We are a Chicago-based broker that understands the unique risk associated with living in the city and suburbs.  Such as homes built before 1940, brownstones, townhouses, or row homes.  These homes have specialized labor and materials.  Depending on the neighborhood, or if there is an individual historic designation for the house, there may be restrictions on the renovations and additions you can make to your City Home.

So, what next?  Please read the rest of our welcome packet for more information about our agency.  Once you have read through the materials, please it in a safe place for future reference.

Again, thank you for the trust you have put in Truska Insurance Agency we look forward to being of service for many years to come.

Home Loss Checklist

This is a helpful checklist of what to do in the event of a home loss.

1

Stay Safe

  • Contact emergency personnel (if necessary)
If anyone is injured or there is an emergency, immediately call 911 for the police, fire department or medical assistance. If you are the victim of a theft, contact the police and file a report.

2

Prevent further damage to your property

  • Prevent further damage to your property
If there are covered damages to your home, please safely proceed with necessary emergency repairs and save all receipts. Your policy provides coverage for the reasonable cost incurred to protect the covered property from additional damage. Examples may include removal of a fallen tree from a structure and tarping the roof to prevent further water damage.

3

Document Damage

  • If it is safe to do so, take photos of the damages before conducting any repairs. This will assist in expediting payment for covered damages.

  • Call us.  The sooner the better.

"When we relocated to Chicago late in 2021, Robert Truska was recommended to us for our insurance needs. It was a brilliant recommendation, as Robert was the most responsive, reliable, proactive, knowledgeable professional we could have hoped for. Interstate moving is stressful at all times, but Robert was most helpful. As far as solving our insurance requirements for the purchase of our co-op, transfer auto, and other insurance, Robert could not have been timelier in his responses to our requests. He also, importantly, helped us save money on our premiums. We highly recommend Robert Truska for all insurance needs in the Chicago area. He is a great customer-service professional. "
